As we wrap up the 2022 Track & Field Regular Season, and head into States this weekend, and then Junior Olympics, we wanted to share a few of our girl athlete's most memorable moments and accomplishments, such as PRs (personal records).

Leah Forman
Leah accomplished her goal of getting new PRs in the 1500 and 800 meters:
PR 1500 meters: 5:16
PR 800 meters: 2:36
Leah has enjoyed running with the Boca warriors and meeting new friends. She loves running the 4x800 and 4x400 relays. She is most proud of qualifying for States in multiple events.
Valentina Giraldo

Isabella Kovacs
Isabella ran in the 14 year-old age group this year.
Isabella ran mainly in 3 types of events this year: 3,000, 1,500 and 800 meters. She accomplished getting PRs in all three this year.
1500 meters: new PR 5.22 (old 5.37)
3000 meters: new PR 12.27 (old 12.47)
800 meters: new PR 2.41 (old 2.48)
I’m very happy to belong to Boca Warriors club having the best coaches and teammates, they all very supportive. I’m also happy that I’ve qualified for states this year in the 1500m.
Ellie Morgan
Last year I missed going to states by 7 milliseconds. It was painful. But this year I qualified for the 3K, 1500, and helped my team qualify for the 4x4 and 4x8 relays. This accomplishment did not come easily. I made the choice to lay down my dancing, that I had done since I was two. Coming to the realization that my passion for running was growing and dancing was getting in the way of my training was a process.
My parents eventually respected my desire to quit ballet and I don’t regret it because I can focus on my love for running and being a part of the Boca Warriors.
My teammates are extremely important to me and I am so proud of all of them because they are hard workers and really help to make the daily work outs and long runs enjoyable.
Let’s Go Warriors!
I ran in the 13 years old/7th grade group and got new PRs this season in the 3000 and 1500 meters:
PR 3000 meters: 11:50
PR 1500 meters: 5:27
Makaela Morilla
Makaela's favorite accomplishment is getting a new PR of 1:07:78 in the 400 meters.
This beats her old PR of 1:15:00.
She's rightfully proud that after all her hard work and practices that she has accomplished this goal.
Way to go Makaela !
Amaliya Ndongo
Amaliya’s most memorable and enjoyable moments are running at the Bethany Christian meets in January and February this year.
She enjoys practicing with the team and she was most proud of placing first in her heat for the 200m (grades 2-3) at Bethany Christian on February 19, 2022, which was one of the first meets in which she competed and also got a PR of 39.33.
Great job Amaliya!
Alex Palekar
Alex accomplished getting new PRs in the 3200 meters and 1500 meters:
3200m: 11:50
1500m: 5:13
Alex’s favorite track race this season was ‘Set Goals Not Limits’ at Satellite Beach where she raced for a PR in the 3200m. Alex has been simultaneously competing nationally in the USAT Youth Elite circuit where she earned a qualifying spot at Nationals this August after a great finish in the first draft legal race of the series in Richmond, Virginia.
